Description
009 scale is a narrow-gauge railway modelling scale that represents 2ft (610mm) narrow-gauge railways using OO scale (1:76.2) rolling stock on N gauge (9mm) track. This scale is particularly popular for modelling small industrial, rural, or heritage railways, such as those found in Wales and parts of the UK.
Key Features of 009 Scale
• Scale: 1:76.2 (same as OO gauge).
• Track Gauge: 9mm (same as N gauge, but with OO-scale trains).
• Prototype Inspiration: Based on real-world narrow-gauge railways, including the Ffestiniog Railway, Talyllyn Railway, Lynton & Barnstaple Railway, and many small industrial or quarry lines.
